With Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and J.J. Redick all slated to be free agents this summer, another key player of the L.A. Clippers will also test the free agency market in the offseason.

Marreese Speights has recently made it official that he is opting out of the final year in his contract to make himself up for grabs for teams that will show interest. The development was tweeted by ASM Sports, who represents him.

The 29-year-old Florida product was a fixture in Doc Rivers‘ rotation, averaging 8.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in 15.7 minutes per game. More importantly, he provides them with a stretch five that they need to give Griffin more room to operate inside the paint.

Despite all the uncertainties the Clippers are facing with their roster, their fans remain hopeful that their front office can retain the services of their free agents and continue to be a perennial playoff team in the Western Conference.
