Kristaps Porzingis is slowly but surely making his return to top form with the Dallas Mavericks, and fans don't think he'll be able to make a solid contribution that quickly. However, his most recent performances are giving Mavs fans hope that he'll be returning to his All-Star form sooner rather than later.

ESPN's Tim McMahon reported that the big man is putting on consecutive fantastic statistical performances for the first time in his career.

For Porzingis to start performing better now out of all times is a stroke of good fortune for the Mavericks. Luka Doncic, their star man, wasn't available to play as he suffered an unfortunate ankle injury against the Miami Heat. He hasn't played for the Mavs since, missing both their game against the Boston Celtics and their surprising win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

It has been a fantastic run for Porzingis, in spite of the team's disappointing loss to Boston, 109-103. The fact that he's playing really good basketball right now is making him feel good about himself as well.

“I’m kind of getting back to my game, getting back to my rhythm,” he declared, per Forbes' Barry Horn. “Tonight was a step forward for me so I’m happy.”

Porzingis is averaging 17.2 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists a night. However, his last three outings saw him score at least 20 points a game. These numbers will surely dip a bit once Doncic makes a return to the team, but he will definitely be looking to keep this level of production and help the Mavs win more games in the competitive Western Conference.
