The Dallas Mavericks have dropped seven of their last ten games, and have dealt with injury issues to stars Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis throughout the entirety of the season. As a result of his team's struggles, Porzingis was very vocal on what the Mavericks need to do moving forward, especially if they want to get out of their agonizing slump.

The Mavericks have recently been abysmal at  3-point shooting, as they shot just 13.8 percent from beyond the arc in their game against the Indiana Pacers on Friday. This has been the lowest point for the Mavs this season, at least so far. In response, Porzingis issued a message to his teammates, in the hopes of revitalizing their spirits and providing them with a concrete plan of action for the games that are yet to come.

Via Callie Caplan of The Dallas Morning News:

“Our confidence cannot go down at any point. We have to keep shooting, and we will get out of this. This is 100% fact, so we had one game all of the sudden we shot the ball great [Dec. 1 in New Orleans]. I think it’s only a matter of time before we find that offensive rhythm and start knocking those shots down and getting some more assists for Luka.”

This philosophy—to keep shooting—may well be just what the Mavericks need, as they can't possibly keep shooting this bad for the rest of the season, right? Eventually, the law of averages is bound to kick in, right? Those are the hopes of every Mavericks fan right now, and only time will tell if Kristaps Porzingis' message had any effect on the boys in blue.
