Dallas Mavericks first-year point guard Luka Doncic finally picked up his 2018-19 Rookie of the Year Award earlier in the week while the soon-to-be second-year signal caller is fresh off a tremendous season atop the highest level.

However, Doncic has not been having a great week since receiving such an honor as the Mavericks point guard recently took to Twitter to air out some of his grievances with a particular airline.

It is safe to say that Doncic didn't hold back when going after Lufthansa on Tuesday evening.

It came as absolutely no surprise that Doncic ultimately came away with the 2018-19 Rookie of the Year Award after dominating throughout his first NBA season.

While quickly becoming one of the best overall players in the entire league — among rookies or otherwise — Doncic wasted absolutely no time making his presence known on the world's grandest stage.

“I have no words,” Doncic said at the NBA Awards show on Monday evening, via ESPN. “This is something special. [Phoenix Suns big man] Deandre [Ayton] and [Atlanta Hawks point guard] Trae [Young] had amazing seasons. I'm happy to have it, so it's special.”

Of course, Doncic was traded for Young before the two even managed to step foot on the NBA hardwood. After the Hawks initially selected Doncic at No. 3 overall, the Eastern Conference franchise promptly traded him to the Mavericks while the rest is history.

However, the trade certainly turned out well for both sides as both Doncic and Young encountered tremendous seasons as rookies in 2018-19.
