Luka Doncic had another tremendous performance for the Dallas Mavericks on Monday, as the Mavs defeated James Harden and the Houston Rockets, 113-100. Doncic logged his first triple-double of the season, en route to overtaking Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James in one of the most elite lists in NBA history.

Doncic needed only 139 games to eclipse the 1,000-point, 1,000-rebound, and 1,000-assist mark, as opposed to LeBron, who achieved the same feat in 158 games (h/t NBA on Twitter):

James was a statistical monster during his early days with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but as it turns out, Doncic has been even better. The 21-year-old just continues to make history, and his achievement on Monday night serves as the latest feather on his cap.

Doncic led Dallas to a win over Houston, finishing with 33 points on 12-of-25 shooting, three triples, 16 rebounds, and 11 assists in 38 minutes of play. The 6-foot-7 guard did commit eight turnovers, though, which is a bit of a sour note on his otherwise stellar performance.

Dallas' win against the Rockets was just their third win in seven games played this season. It was a much-needed bounce-back victory after suffering a disappointing 118-108 defeat to the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.

The Mavs get two days off before returning to action on Wednesday. Doncic and Co. face off against the Denver Nuggets, as they take on another triple-double machine in Nikola Jokic, who incidentally, currently leads the league in this particular category with four triple-doubles in six games.
