Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban defended J.J. Barea after his ejection Friday night against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The 34-year-old was thrown out of the game Friday by referee Scott Foster after he said, “You guys are a disaster tonight.”

The 60-year-old Mavs owner wasn't pleased at all by the punishment Barea received. He tweeted his thoughts regarding the incident afterwards:

Foster has a 25-year tenure in the league. No doubt he's one of the most experienced referees out there, but he's also known to be a short-tempered one. He was even voted the league's worst referee two years ago in a survey conducted by the Los Angeles Times, per ESPN.

It can't be denied that some calls may be good while others might be bad in the NBA. A no-call for the San Anotnio Spurs cost them their match against the Memphis Grizzlies last week. Kawhi Leonard, meanwhile, did not receive a chance to shoot two free throws after colliding with the Miami Heat's Justise Winslow on Sunday.

Cuban is never shy to speak his mind about officiating, and he has racked up plenty of fines throughout the years. He might have another one coming because of this.

This loss snapped the Mavs' three-game winning streak as they dropped to 10-10 this season, but they still are 7-3 in their last 10 games.

The Mavs have missed the past two postseasons, and they hope that this season might be the year they'll be significant again in the Western Conference. They're coming off a 24-58 finish last season, but they have high hopes with the arrival of European sensation Luka Doncic, who looks like one of the top candidates for Rookie of the Year.
