It was one of the worst non-calls of the season, and Toronto Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard had every right to be upset.

In Sunday's home game against the Miami Heat, Justise Winslow made contact with Leonard as he was going for the score. But the referees did not blow their whistles, instead letting the play go on:

The good thing for the Eastern Conference-leading Raptors is it wasn't costly because they went on to win, 125-115. The victory improved them to 17-4 for the season, currently the best record in the NBA. The Raptors increased their lead over the Milwaukee Bucks by two games. They are steaming hot with a five-game winning streak and are 7-3 in the last 10 games.

Kawhi Leonard is taking the role as the new leader of the Raptors, who are mightier than ever in the post-LeBron James Eastern Conference. The Raptors forward is averaging 24.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game.

Miami, meanwhile, continues to struggle with a 7-12 record, which is 11th in the East. The Heat have dropped seven of their last 10 games.

This wasn't the only bad no-call of the last week or so. Another bad no-call occurred last Wednesday, when San Antonio Spurs big man LaMarcus Aldridge was seemingly fouled by Marc Gasol in the waning moments.

With time winding down, Aldridge attempted a jumper that could have potentially stolen the win from the Memphis Grizzlies. But the referees did not blow their whistles after contact occurred between the two. The Grizzlies won 104-103 as a result.
