It's not every day that Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is left hanging on a botched fist-bump attempt. Well, this is exactly what happened on Thursday in the Mavs' 129-127 overtime defeat at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves. The king of being left hanging, New Orleans Pelicans swingman Josh Hart, caught wind of Doncic's rather embarrassing moment, and the former could not help but comment on something he considers to be his area of expertise.

Hart took to Twitter to hilariously grade Doncic's impressive attempt to save face after being left hanging:

Hart himself has been left hanging on more than a few occasions, so it's safe to say that he knows what he's talking about here. He did give Doncic a perfect 10/10 score, so the Mavs stud is clearly following in the footsteps of the GOAT (of being left hanging).

Doncic had an okay showing on the court Thursday, finishing with a team-high 20 points but on 6-of-18 shooting and 0-of-6 from downtown. The 21-year-old also logged five boards and seven assists.

The Mavs closed out their preseason with a loss following back-to-back wins against the Milwaukee Bucks in their first two games. They get a few days of rest before their season officially tips off against a new-look Phoenix Suns side. This should be a tremendous matchup between two of the top point guards in the league today in Doncic and Chris Paul. Both teams will be gunning for a playoff spot in the stacked Western Conference this season.

As for Hart and the Pelicans, they too will be angling for a postseason spot in the West, even after trading Jrue Holiday. Zion Williamson is looking healthy, while All-Star Brandon Ingram will look to get even better after signing a max contract in the offseason.
