The Miami Dolphins aim to bounce back after losing two games in a row. They face the Indianapolis Colts in what should be a heated contest. With both teams struggling, this is an important game for each franchise. It's time to continue our NFL predictions series with a Dolphins Week 4 prediction.

On paper, the Dolphins defense is one of the best in the league. They haven't looked the part yet, but that could all change on Sunday. The Colts are banged up and have been a huge disappointment so far. We should see Miami's defense rebound and perform well against a hindered Indianapolis team.

Although Tua Tagovailoa is out with a rib injury, the Dolphins have a decent backup in Jacoby Brissett. He nearly led them to an overtime victory in their last game. We should see Brissett play a key role on Sunday.

Myles Gaskin is the top running back in Miami's committee. For that reason, he's likely to have a solid performance against the Colts. Meanwhile, the passing game isn't elite by any means, but Jaylen Waddle has flashed potential in his first few games. With that said, here are four Dolphins Week 4 predictions versus the Colts.

Dolphins Week 4 Predictions

4. Dolphins defense shuts down the Colts passing game

The Dolphins will likely struggle to contain Jonathan Taylor, but if they can force Indianapolis into third and long situations they should win this contest. Carson Wentz is far from healthy and the Colts receiving core is mediocre. Not to mention, the offensive line is riddled with injuries as well. This should be a field day for the Dolphins defense as they'll try to bother Wentz all day long.

3. Jacoby Brissett puts on a solid performance

After nearly leading his team to an overtime win, Jacoby Brissett should carry over the momentum to Week 4. He's not going to light up the field through the air, but he's a solid backup talented enough to help the Dolphins win a game or two until Tua Tagovailoa returns.

Indianapolis' defense has been playing below expectations so far, which bodes well for Miami's success. This is a winnable game for the Dolphins and Jacoby Brissett has the tools to get the job done. Keep an eye on this matchup, as Miami is in desperate need of a win.

2. Myles Gaskin erupts for 100+ yards and 1 touchdown

Myles Gaskin is clearly the best running back in the Dolphins backfield. He does well with his opportunities and has proven to be a reliable option in the run game. For the Dolphins, their game plan should be to control the clock. If so, running the ball will be a focal point on Sunday. With the Colts struggling defensively, this is a reasonable goal for the Dolphins to achieve.

1. Jaylen Waddle reels in 2 touchdowns

The Dolphins rookie wide receiver has flashed his potential in the first three games of the season. He needs more opportunities to really shine, but those will come in due time. Jaylen Waddle is a legitimate route runner who has the speed to break away from anybody. Hopefully, Brissett throws Waddle's way often, as he has the potential to be a top receiver in the NFL.
