The Missouri Tigers are looking to have a program resurgence. There is good reason to think that can happen too, especially with the arrival of super-freshman Michael Porter Jr.

As do most sane people, I have long assumed that Michael Porter Jr. will go to Missouri for a season, do some incredible things, then enter his name early in the 2018 NBA Draft. According to the incredibly talented you man, he isn't claiming that to be a sure thing.

Now, before everyone collectively loses their marbles, we should point out the rather obvious here. That quote is from SEC Media day. A place in space and time where every upperclassmen is in the greatest shape ever, each coach claims at least one player is performing better than expected, and a handful of one-and-done talent swears he isn't for sure going to the NBA.

That isn't to call Michael Porter Jr. a liar. Who knows if he is actually telling the truth. Hell, maybe he currently believes what he is saying in earnest. However, it isn't even November yet and putting any stock into what a teenager says before Halloween is pretty dangerous.

Obviously, Missouri would be best served for Porter to stay in college for all of the years. With how each player's stock is often linked to the idea of potential, which is often confused with just youth, it would almost be a disservice to future potential earnings if Porter players well and stayed in college longer than he should.

Whatever. He can do what he wants as long as he is happy.
