Kobe Bryant turns 40 on Thursday and he had a message for all his haters, of which there are many. Bryant is still one of the most polarizing NBA players around. His fanbase is as rabid as any, but he also has his fair share of haters.

He posted a mirror picture of himself flexing and he still looks like he's in great shape. He probably couldn't hang in the NBA anymore, but he certainly looks like he could play the part.

Bryant also mentions his future and says he plans to make his next 10 years better than his last.

If Bryant's best years are ahead of him, he's in for a great future. During his 30s, Bryant won two championships and made the All-Star Game in every year he played in the league. His accomplishments aren't limited to the basketball court either.

Earlier this year, Bryant won an Emmy for his animated short film Dear Basketball. The animated short also won an Oscar. Kobe's post-retirement career is taking off and although his on-court accomplishments will be tough to live up to, he's well on his way.

Kobe also launched a venture capital fund with his business partner, Jeff Stibel. The group secured $100 million in funding.

Bryant was always known as a tireless worker while he played and he's showed no signs of slowing down in retirement. Whether he's focusing on winning an Emmy, an Oscar or engaging in business ventures, Bryant looks like he's picking up steam as he turns 40.
