The NBA released its All-Defensive First and Second Teams on Tuesday, as the best stoppers in the league received some much-deserved recognition. While there are still a few names who got snubbed, Twitter users had a lot to say after Houston Rockets superstar James Harden and Dallas Mavericks' sophomore sensation Luka Doncic got All-Defensive first-team votes.

While The Beard and the Slovenian stud indeed posted MVP-worthy numbers this NBA season, it's quite evident that defense is not their strong suit. The fact that they received first-team votes in the first place clearly irked a lot of people. Here are some of the best reactions online.

To be fair, Luka Doncic did take a huge leap to superstardom in the 2019-20 NBA campaign. The only hole in his game at the moment is he's really not a dependable defender just yet. While last season's Rookie of The Year has the size and strength to deal with bruising forwards who try to post him up down low, Doncic doesn't really have the speed to pick up opposing guards. This was evident in the Mavs first-round series against the Los Angeles Clippers. As phenomenal has DOncic has been in a short period of time, he still has a lot to work on that facet of his game.

As for James Harden, he's got a blooper-reel of hilarious defensive mishaps throughout the years. While his offensive repertoire is arguably the best in the league, the same cannot be said on the effort he puts on the other end. The one-time NBA MVP has certainly made improvements this year in terms of his defense. It was Harden who made that crucial block against Lou Dort of the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 7 of the Rockets first-round series.

But as one Twitter user pointed out, one great defensive play does not warrant a First-team All-Defense vote.
