Denver Nuggets small forward Michael Porter Jr. supports Orlando Magic big man Jonathan Isaac for his decision to stand during the national anthem in the NBA restart games down in Orlando, Florida

Issac was the first NBA player to stand during the national anthem at Disney World. He also chose not to wear a Black Lives Matter shirt, although he told reporters after the game he believes in the movement.

Porter Jr. has been in the news lately for all the wrong reasons. He recently said on Snapchat that COVID-19 is being overblown. The Nuggets then spoke to the youngster about his controversial comments.

Meanwhile, Issac has the full support of the Magic for his anthem decision. After all, fans can't bash NBA players if they choose to stand during the national anthem since it has been the norm for as long as we can remember.

The NBA seeding games will continue with teams kneeling during the anthem. Players want to continue to peacefully protest racial injustices in America and they feel that kneeling during the anthem is their way of letting others know they stand with George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and all the victims of police brutality in the U.S.

However, fans could see more and more players stand. Issac, Miami Heat big man Meyers Leonard and San Antonio Spurs coaches Gregg Popovich and Becky Hammon have stood, although Issac is the only one who didn't wear the Black Lives Matter shirt.
