Prior to his enshrinement into the Naismith Hall of Fame, sharpshooter Ray Allen recalled his early days with the Milwaukee Bucks, when he was once casted to play the role of the now-famed Jesus Shuttlesworth in the popular movie He Got Game.
It's been 20 years since the movie came out, but it's still hugely popular among hoop addicts, arguably one of the best sports movies of all-time.
Allen hinted at a potential sequel after meeting with director Spike Lee for the 20-year reunion.
“There's so much more to that movie that we've got to continue with the storyline.” Ray Allen told ESPN's Rachel Nichols. “We'd love to do a part two, for sure going forward… Spike and I have talked on several occasions. We just recently had… a 20-year reunion since it was first shot in 1998… The biggest key is getting Denzel Washington on board. If we can solidify him, we'll be well in our way.”

Washington had been known as an actor who would stray from doing sequels, but he recently broke that streak by starring in The Equalizer 2, leaving some semblance of hope for another He Got Game movie, if all parties are in agreement.
Allen and Washington are now 20 years older, but Ray-Ray hasn't lost that sweet Jesus stroke and Jake hasn't lost the lessons that come with the game, making this a real possibility if Lee and his crew can rally up the pivotal characters for this sequel.
