Chicago Bulls: +1.5 (-110)

Portland Trail Blazers: -1.5 (-110)

Under: 219.5 (-110)

Why The Bulls Could Cover The Spread

The Bulls are one of the hottest teams in basketball. They have been extremely competitive this season and have managed to take down some tough opponents. Chicago is coming off an 18-point road win against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Bulls will look to bring the momentum from that win into this Portland game. Chicago has really come together this season and has been playing phenomenal basketball. They have legitimate playoff ambitions and could make a very deep run this season.

One of the leaders of this Bulls team is Zach LaVine. This is playing LaVine's fifth season as a Bull, and he has been a critical part of their success. He had 26 points, five rebounds, and five assists in their dominant win over the Lakers. This season, LaVine is averaging 25.9 points a game and has been a big reason that Chicago has been able to win games. LaVine will look to have another big game on the road against a tough Portland team. If LaVine can stay consistent, Chicago should have no problem getting another road win.

Meanwhile, DeMar DeRozan is proving to be one of the most impactful offseason moves in the NBA. DeRozan has been amazing for the Bulls. He dropped 38 points against the Lakers and has been dominating games all season long. DeRozan is averaging nearly 27 points a game and has been the perfect complementary piece to LaVine. The LaVine-DeRozan backcourt has quickly become one of the best in the league. With LaVine in his prime and DeRozan having one of the best seasons of his career, there is no telling how far this Bulls team can go. Expect these two to come out firing against Portland and lead their team to yet another big win.

Why The Trail Blazers Could Cover The Spread

The Blazers have been having an underwhelming season. They are lacking a winning record and have failed to compete with top competitors. However, Portland did manage to get a win against the Raptors, coming out ahead by five points. The Blazers are also 6-1 on their home court this season, so they've been a different time at home versus on the road. The Bulls are going to be one of Portland's toughest opponents yet, and the Blazers will need to step things up if they want to get this win at home.

Leading the way for the Blazers this season has been CJ McCollum. McCollum is coming off a 29-point performance against the Raptors. The veteran guard is averaging over 21 points per game and has been a big part of every win that the Blazers have gotten this season. McCollum is a scoring threat from anywhere on the court and will need to step things up on Wednesday if the Blazers want to get a win. CJ should play a big part in the outcome of this game. If McCollum can have a big night at home, the Bulls might struggle to keep up.

Of course, the face of this franchise for years now has been Damian Lillard. Dame has not been himself this season, but he is coming off a solid game. Against the Raptors, he managed to put up 24 points and dish out eight assists. Lillard is only averaging 20.3 points a game this season, compared to nearly 30 points in his past two seasons. He is more than capable of taking over and winning games for the Blazers, though. If Lillard finally steps things up and shows the world that it's Dame time, the Blazers could win this game.

Final Bulls-Trail Blazers Prediction & Pick

The Bulls have been phenomenal this season, yet they are underdogs heading into this matchup. Nikola Vucevic is still out for Chicago, and the Blazers have been very good at home. Still, pick Chicago to win and cover in this game. The Bulls are riding high after two big wins and will look to keep things going.
