Before the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers faced off with each other, LeBron James and Kyle Korver, who were both teammates during their time with the Cleveland Cavaliers, greeted each other.

Korver was initially traded to the Cavaliers midway through the 2016-17 season from the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Mo Williams and Mike Dunleavy along with a protected future first-round pick and cash consideration.

The decision by James to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers ultimately ended Korver's time as a teammate with “The King.” After just 16 games into the Cavs' first season in the post-James era, Korver was traded to the Utah Jazz in part of a mid-season transaction. He spent the rest of the season with the Jazz and later signed with the Bucks in free agency.
