It looks like Brooklyn Nets playmaker Ben Simmons is progressing well in his recovery from back surgery.

According to Brian Lewis of New York Post, Simmons is actually done with the recovery phase of his surgery and is now going into rehab to get him back to playing condition ahead of the 2022-23 NBA season. The Australian guard is well on track to get back to the court in a couple months since there has been no reported setback in his recovery.

That is certainly good news for Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and the rest of Brooklyn who are hoping the Nets could finally contend for the championship.

When the Nets acquired Ben Simmons from the James Harden trade, there were high hopes that his defense and playmaking could be a difference-maker for them. Unfortunately, the 25-year-old was unable to take the floor and debut for the team due to his back issues.

During the playoffs, his back injury worsened, with the team discovering that the herniation in his back and expanded. Surgery was the only option at that point and he finally underwent the procedure last May.

Luckily for the Nets, Simmons is now on his way to getting back to full health. Should he recover well and get back to his usual play, his partnership with Durant and Irving will definitely be lethal.
