It appears that Brooklyn Nets forward DeMarre Carroll is a part of the trade deadline's pool of available players. Per Brian Lewis of the NY Post, Carroll expressed that his agent informed him that several teams are interested in his services.

“Mark just told me a lot of teams are interested. He talked to [GM] Sean [Marks] and they value me a lot here,” Carroll told The Post. “You really don’t know what’ll happen. He just told me stay focused and continue to keep on doing well. I’m old enough I understand rumors are rumors. Until somebody calls and I’m shipping up out of here, continue to keep playing great basketball for the Brooklyn Nets.”

Carroll is currently averaging 13.0 points and 6.4 rebounds per game — both career bests — this season. On any team, he is a solid role player or a decent starter. The Nets are currently rebuilding and they could use a nice return for Carroll. Being 31 years old, Carroll obviously doesn't have the patience to stick around with the Nets for longer.

Interestingly, it is surprising how open Carroll is about a potential trade. Normally, players keep details such as this in private. However, this just makes matters more simple. He has already logged enough years of service in the NBA to understand the business part of the league.

Now that Carroll has hinted at his popularity among NBA teams, he should be moved prior to the trade deadline without an issue. Hopefully, both parties can come to a mutual agreement soon.
