The Michigan football team has had some good luck in the transfer portal lately as they have picked up four commitments in the past week. One player that decided to the transfer to the Wolverines is former Albany cornerback Aamir Hall. Hall committed to play for Michigan late last week, and he is a big addition to this defense. All four recent transfer portal commits for the Wolverines will help their secondary, and that part of the defense is looking strong.

“Aamir Hall, a former FCS All-American cornerback with the Albany Great Danes, has committed to Michigan out of the Transfer Portal,” A report from Rivals wrote. “Hall made his pledge to Sherrone Moore and the Wolverines on Thursday after entering the Transfer Portal on March 1.”

This is a big get for the Michigan football team after they lost some key players in their secondary this offseason. Keon Sabb left via the transfer portal and is now with Alabama, and the Wolverines also lost Rod Moore as he tore his ACL. Getting a guy like Aamir Hall is big. He hasn't played at this level of competition yet, but he was a star at Albany, and Michigan clearly thinks very highly of him.

Aamir Hall had a great season with the Albany football team last year. Hall was an FCS All-American and he was a star during the 2023 season. Hall had 57 total tackles last year, 13 passes defended, five interceptions and one forced fumble. He was an absolute beast.

This is not Hall's first time in the transfer portal as he didn't start his career at Albany. Hall played at Richmond to begin his career, so Michigan will be his third school.

The Michigan football team won the national championship last season, but they have lost a lot of talent from that squad. Luckily for them, that is where the transfer portal comes into play. The Wolverines have some important players to replace, and the portal is where they find those replacements. Aamir Hall should be a good addition to the defense for the 2o24 season.
