The Brooklyn Nets were hosting the Houston Rockets on Thursday night, and the event presented itself as an opportunity for James Harden to rekindle some old flames with his former team.

Prior to tip-off, Harden made his way to the Rockets bench to share a brief moment with former coach Stephen Silas and the rest of the Rockets coaching staff (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):

As we all know, Harden's time in Houston did not exactly end in the best of ways. After a memorable tenure with the Rockets, Harden pretty much forced his way out of the team early in the season, which resulted in the Rockets pulling the trigger on a blockbuster deal that sent him to his current team, the Brooklyn Nets.

There were some whispers that one of Harden's biggest qualms with the front office over in Houston was their decision to hire an inexperienced Stephen Silas to take over the helm following the departure of veteran head coach Mike D'Antoni. Previous reports stated that James Harden called time on his career in Houston as soon as he learned about the Silas hire.

Silas certainly caught wind of that rumor, and you can only imagine what type of impact that would have had on a rookie coach. All is well that ends well, I guess, and based on the clip above, it looks like there are no hard feelings between Harden and Silas.
