Back in 2019, the Los Angeles Lakers sent Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, De'Andre Hunter, three future first-round picks, and cash to the New Orleans Pelicans as part of a trade package for Anthony Davis. The Lakers also sent three more players and a second-round pick to the Washington Wizards as part of this three-team deal. That's one of the biggest hauls we've seen in recent history, and according to reports, this could be the same type of package the Brooklyn Nets could be looking for in a potential Kevin Durant deal.

KD's exit from the Nets has become a major talking point of late amid the Kyrie Irving saga. Both superstars could actually end up walking away from Brooklyn this summer, but it is clear that for their part, the Nets aren't going to let either of them leave for cheap. An unnamed league insider recently revealed that Durant, in particular, is likely to command an Anthony Davis-like haul in a potential trade (h/t Alex Schiffer, Sam Amick, and Joe Vardon of The Athletic):

As for a Durant return, I asked a league source a few days ago about such a deal and the reply was, “Look up the Anthony Davis trade to the Lakers and start there.”

The report also suggests, however, that the likelihood of Durant staying in Brooklyn remains strong. He has been made well aware of what's been going on in the Kyrie front, and it is clear that Brooklyn considers him as a much higher priority as opposed to his buddy.

Be that as it may, anything is still possible at this point. Any team that has interest in KD, however, will need to be willing to give up a ton of assets for the former league MVP — and rightfully so.
