The Brooklyn Nets shocked the NBA world when they traded superstar guard James Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers in a blockbuster trade that included Ben Simmons, among others. Harden was clearly beginning to get frustrated with the way things were going in Brooklyn, though he might not have been the only one. Joe Vardon of The Athletic revealed Nets guard Kyrie Irving's shocking mindset ahead of the Harden trade to the Sixers as part of the latest Nets rumors.

“Definitely a weird vibe between them,” one source said. “You could tell Harden was annoyed, and Kyrie wasn’t feeling James.”

Irving was ready for Harden to move on, too. When Irving heard Harden was in fact hoping to be traded, a well-placed source says he was eager to see it come to fruition.

According to the latest Nets rumors, Kyrie Irving was “eager to see” a James Harden trade become reality. Not only that, but Irving “wasn't feeling” Harden, something that definitely played into Brooklyn's thinking regarding the trade to the Sixers.

The latest Nets rumors also mention a strange locker room interaction between the two stars. Irving, who has embraced certain Native American rituals, such as burning sage, which he did in the locker room before a game against the Cleveland Cavs earlier this year.

According to the Nets rumors, Harden was watching Irving and looked at him “like he had three heads.” That's certainly one of the reasons that Irving “wasn't feeling” Harden.

From a basketball point of view, the fit between Irving and Harden, both ball-dominant players, was always imperfect at best. It sounds like their personality fit was as well.
