LSU quarterback Joe Burrow has been pegged as the consensus No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. There is now plenty of speculation regarding which quarterback prospect slides in at No. 2.

Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been billed as the second-best option behind Burrow. According to Bleacher Report's Matt Miller, there are reportedly some teams that would pick Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert over Tagovailoa in the NFL Draft due to concerns about the latter's health:

“Multiple teams prefer Justin Herbert to Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa because of injuries and the unknowns.”

One of the teams that has been linked to both quarterbacks is the Miami Dolphins, ho currently own the No. 4 pick in this year's draft. Although all signs have pointed to them taking Tagovailoa since the 2019 NFL season, recent reports suggest they are still weighing out their options.

Tagovailoa has reportedly made some significant strides in his recovery from a hip injury he suffered back in November. Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic has not allowed him to show off his newfound health at Alabama's pro day. As a result, there is still currently plenty of concern regarding his durability coning into the league.

Meanwhile, Herbert's stock continues to be on the rise as the NFL Draft nears closer. The promise he showed down the stretch along with his robust health has helped him potentially make his case as the second quarterback off the board.

The outbreak has prevented a number of prospects from showcasing their potential leading up to the draft. It will be interesting to see if there is enough doubt over Tagovailoa that will spur teams to consider taking Herbert ahead of him.
