Dez Bryant has been attempting to make a return to the NFL over the past couple of seasons, but it appears he's ramped up that interest recently. Ahead of the upcoming offseason, Bryant is ‘more serious than ever' about a comeback to the NFL.

“I’m where I need to be [physically] right now,” Bryant told Mike Fisher of CowboysSI.com. “I’m more serious than ever. . . .I’m 100 percent hungry for the right situation.”

The free-agent wide receiver last played in an NFL game in 2017 with the Dallas Cowboys. A year later, he came close to playing with the New Orleans Saints before tearing his Achilles in his first practice with the team.

Since his injury, Bryant has spent countless hours getting back into shape to play football again. Now, at 31-years-old, Bryant is ready to prove he can still contribute to a team in the NFL. The All-Pro wide receiver exclaimed that he is willing to be a role player for a team next season.

In recent months, Bryant expressed his interest in playing for a few teams. Among the teams he listed, Bryant shared that he'd love to get a chance to return to the Cowboys. As a matter of fact, Bryant recently texted Stephen Jones—the Vice President of the Cowboys—about a possible homecoming in the near future.

As of now, Dallas hasn't shown any interest in bringing the veteran wide receiver back in 2020. However, with a new coaching staff in place, the chances of a reunion with Bryant are more likely than before.
