Veteran cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie reportedly would like to end his retirement and make a return to the NFL field.

Rodgers-Cromartie's retirement was a brief but fruitful retirement, and now, there are a few teams that are already interested in him.

One such team is the Seattle Seahawks, whom analysts feel should purse the now-unretired cornerback. Rodgers-Cromartie, an 11-year veteran who played in seven games for the Raiders last season before retiring in October, happens to be a very desirable player in the NFL.

The league believes that Rodgers-Cromartie should draw interest as a veteran who can come into camp and compete for a backup role while pushing the starters for their jobs.

From USA Today:

“For Seattle, Cromartie could be of interest for that exact reason. Tre Flowers and Shaquill Griffin aren’t going anywhere, but the rest of the depth at cornerback is set to hit free agency, including Justin Coleman, Neiko Thorpe, Akeem King and Kalan Reed – not to mention free safety Earl Thomas, who is unlikely to return. Cromartie would give Seattle a proven piece to serve as a roving backup to both Flowers and Griffin.”

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie certainly has no shortage of offers waiting for him, so hopefully, something will come through that he can agree with, and fans can see him back on the field doing what he does best. Cromartie’s asking price is not expected to be exorbitant, and if Seattle is looking for ways to save some money while adding some depth in the secondary, he might be their man.
