Former Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots cornerback Brandon Browner has been arrested and convicted on domestic battery charges after an incident in May, TMZ reports.

According to court docs, Browner was arrested in L.A. County on May 6, 2018 for battery and child endangerment. Details surrounding the incident are unclear.

But records show Browner pled no contest to the charges and was sentenced to probation.

Browner also violated the terms of his probation from a previous case shortly after his domestic battery conviction and was ordered to serve 60 days in jail. However, he was released after just a couple of days due to overcrowding.

This is hardly Browner’s first run-in with the law. Just last year, he was arrested on drug charges in October as well as making criminal threats in September.

Browner, 33, played five years for three NFL teams (the Seahawks, Patriots, and New Orleans Saints) after he went undrafted in 2005. He was also part of the Denver Broncos, but he didn't play a single game for them.

After starring in the CFL for a few years, Browner became a part of Seattle's famed “Legion of Boom” secondary in 2011. He earned his first and only Pro Bowl selection in that year and also helped them win the Super Bowl in 2013. He then went onto win a second Super Bowl ring in his only season with the Patriots in 2015.

After one season with the Saints, he tried to return to the Seahawks in 2016. Unfortunately, he was released in preseason and announced his retirement in January 2017. He finished with 12 interceptions (two returned for touchdown), 225 tackles, and three forced fumbles in 61 games in the NFL.
