Former Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen recently made the jump to the broadcasting booth. He hit the ground running with his second career, and is apparently going to be a part of FOX Sports’ #1 broadcasting team this year. He is paired alongside longtime announcer Kevin Burkhardt. But apparently that’s not the only bump that Olsen is getting with FOX Sports. According to New York Times writer Andrew Marchand, the duo are set to be the announcers for Super Bowl LVII in 2023. The game will take place February 12 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Olsen, the long time Panthers tight end, put forth a Hall of Fame resume during his 14-year career. He retired with 742 career catches for 8,863 yards and 60 receiving touchdowns. 13 of his 14 years were spent in Carolina, reaching the Super Bowl once in his illustrious career. However, the Panthers would lose to the Denver Broncos in 2015.

All of this comes as news surfaced that current Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has already reached a deal with FOX Sports. He is slated to work either in the booth or in studio as an analyst.

A FOX Sports spokesperson declined to comment on whether Brady would be a part of the Super Bowl coverage, assuming the Buccaneers are not playing in the game. However, Marchand did note that there is a chance that could be the case.

The Buccaneers though are considered one of the heavy favorites to come out of the NFC and reach the Super Bowl, which surely Brady would prefer.
