Johnny Manziel's Alliance of American Football tenure made it just two games before he suffered an injury.

On Saturday, Manziel, who is quarterbacking for the Memphis Express, left his team's game with a concussion after attempting to make a tackle on former NFL safety Will Hill following an interception, according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk.

Before exiting, Manziel had completed two of three passes while running the ball three times for 18 yards.

The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Texas A&M University, was originally selected by the Cleveland Browns in the first round (22nd pick overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.

He played in five games and made two starts during his rookie campaign, completing 18 of his 35 passes for 175 yards and a couple of interceptions.

The following season, Manziel appeared in 10 contests and made six starts for the Browns, throwing for 1,500 yards, seven touchdowns, and five picks while completing 57.8 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 79.4.

That marked the last time we saw Manziel in the NFL, as alcohol abuse and other off-the-field issues prevented him from ever taking the field for another NFL team again.

Manziel then tried his luck in the CFL, but ended up getting banned because he violated the agreement that allowed him to play in the league to begin with.

Now, like many former NFL players looking for another chance, Manziel is attempting what is perhaps one last shot at a a comeback in the AAF, but it obviously has not gotten off to a great start.
