Now that Colin Kaepernick and the NFL have reached a settlement on the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback's collusion case, the next question is will an NFL team give him a shot to return to the league.

Former Super Bowl champion Marcus Allen isn't so sure that even if he a team wants to sign him, Kaepernick will want to return to the league. Kaepernick has been out of the league for more than two years, and Allen questions if he has lost the love to play the game.

“Well, two years is a long time from being away from something like that,” Alen told Omnisport at the Laureus World Sports Awards 2019 via Sporting News.

“You can lose the love to play and that's only an issue he has to reconcile with himself.

Allen is sure that Kaepernick still loves the game of football but has question's if he loves it enough to play at the level that is needed for an NFL quarterback to thrive in the league.

“Whether he is still interested in playing, because being away for two years from a sport is not an easy thing to do.

“[It's hard] To come back and play with the intensity and love and level that's really necessary to be great again.”

Kaepernick hasn't made any public comments since the settlement but once he does it seems like the question if he wants to play in the league again will be one that is asked and his response should be a good one.
