Defensive tackle Brandon Williams of the Baltimore Ravens is replacing Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Geno Atkins who is out of the game because of an ongoing injury.

This will be Williams's first Pro-Bowl in his sixth NFL season. He's gained quite a reputation as one of the leaders for their defense. Their run defense was quite spectacular all season long, only with the Chicago Bears perhaps trailing as close. They ranked fourth overall against the run this past season.

Williams has been starting for the Ravens for over four years now. Since that period of time, the Ravens have only allowed 95.1 rushing yards per game. This is the lowest mark out of any NFL team per Clifton Brown of NFL.com.

Williams had 34 total tackles with one sack and a pass breakup this season. His defensive ability isn't to pressure the offensive line, but instead to slip through gaps and tackle the ball-handler. His ability as a nose tackle is some of the best in the league, justifying why he would replace Atkins in the pro-bowl.

The Ravens now have three teammates in the Pro Bowl. This includes C.J. Mosley, Eric Weddle, and Marshal Yanda.

The Ravens went 10-6 this past season earning, themselves a first seed in the AFC North Division. They lost in the wild-card round of the postseason to the Los Angeles Chargers by a score of 23-17. They'll need to improve their offensive effectiveness.
