When you talk about the quarterbacks of the 2020 NFL Draft class, the first two names that come to mind are LSU's Joe Burrow and Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa.

Burrow is expected to go to the Cincinnati Bengals at No. 1, and the general expectation is that Tagovailoa will fall somewhere in the top five.

But what about Oregon's Justin Herbert?

Herbert is widely viewed as the third-best quarterback prospect in the draft, but he is not touted like Burrow or Tagovailoa. However, could Herbert end up being a stud?

ESPN analyst and former NFL head coach Rex Ryan said so on Friday:

“I know what plays in the NFL … This guy is 6-foot-6, runs a 4.65 (second forty-yard dash), so he’s plenty athletic. Does he have a huge arm? He does. I think he’s a no-brainer. He’s gonna be a star in the league.”

Funny enough, Bleacher Report's Matt Miller recently reported that the Miami Dolphins — who pick fifth overall — may actually prefer Herbert to Tagovailoa, which is certainly an interesting development.

Herbert is coming off of a senior campaign in which he threw for 3,471 yards, 32 touchdowns and six interceptions while completing 66.8 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 156.8.

The 22-year-old arrived at Oregon in 2016 and played in eight games during his freshman year, finishing with 1,936 yards, 19 touchdowns and four picks while completing 63.5 percent of his throws and registering a passer rating of 148.8. He registered similar numbers in his second season before breaking out his junior year, when he threw for 3,151 yards, 29 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

Ryan could be onto something about Herbert. Now we wait to see if teams agree in April's draft.
