There will be another Moss in the NFL. The son of Randy Moss, Thaddeus Moss, has declared for the 2020 NFL Draft as a tight end, as he announced on Friday. The LSU  tight end won a national championship on Monday, reeling in five receptions for 36 yards and two touchdowns in the win over Clemson.

Once a three-star (by 247 Sports) commit to N.C. State, Moss transferred to LSU in 2017. After sitting out a year due to transfer rules, he tallied 47 receptions for 570 yards and four touchdowns as a Tiger in his lone season in Baton Rouge.

Moss is the ninth LSU underclassman to declare for the 2020 NFL Draft. He joins running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, safety Grant Delpit and wide receiver Justin Jefferson among others. The Tigers' roster has been gutted since winning the national championship, as they will also lose quarterback Joe Burrow to the NFL.

Bleacher Report's Matt Miller is high on Moss. Miller describes him as a “three-down talent,” who excels in both the receiving and blocking departments.

Thaddeus Moss, son of NFL legend Randy Moss, is a 6'3″, 250-pound athlete who is that mismatch that teams want at tight end. Unlike what you might be picturing, the younger Moss is an accomplished run-blocker and physical player over the middle of the field. This isn't a diva tight end afraid of contact but a three-down talent,” said Miller.

Moss likely won't go in the first two rounds. He only has two years of college football experience to his name. However, he has a skill set that could help him go as early as day three, and that's not because of his last name.
