While the Las Vegas Raiders now play in Nevada, this still feels like the Battle of the Bay. We get a matchup of (former) Oakland versus the San Francisco 49ers in the final week of the preseason. It’s time to continue our NFL odds series and make a Raiders-49ers prediction and pick.

Here’s how the bookmakers have set the lines for Sunday's matchup.

NFL Odds: Raiders-49ers Odds

Las Vegas Raiders +5(-110)

San Francisco 49ers -5 (-110)

Over 35 1/2 points (-110)

Why The Raiders Could Win

Las Vegas has used just one quarterback this entire preseason — Nathan Peterman, former University of Pittsburgh quarterback and also known as the guy who threw five interceptions in a game for the Bills. However, Peterman has excelled this preseason. The Raiders are 2-0 and Peterman is coming off a game in which he threw he went 16-for-24 with 172 passing yards and a touchdown.

Although he also threw two interceptions, it is very encouraging to see Peterman getting all the snaps for Vegas behind center this preseason. Derek Carr has a lock on the starting job, but these performances by Peterman prove that maybe he could be an okay starter if Carr was sidelined with an injury. The Raiders announced that Peterman will play in Week 3 as well as the starter, and look for him to continue his excellent play this summer. Going into the regular season with a 3-0 record and an above-average backup quarterback will be great confidence for a Raiders team that will likely be in contention for a Wild Card spot this season.

Why The 49ers Could Win

Although Trey Lance has been the 49ers' leader in passing yards in both preseason games thus far, the starting quarterback job in San Francisco remains up in the air. Last week, Lance went 8-for-14 with 102 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and an interception. Meanwhile, Jimmy Garoppolo went just 3-for-6 with 15 passing yards and an interception. Obviously, Garoppolo is the veteran on this duo, but Lance has mostly outplayed him through two games. That being said, the 49ers plan to feature both quarterbacks in this game against the Raiders.

Knowing they both have so much to play for in an otherwise meaningless game, both Trey and Jimmy will put up excellent stat lines against Las Vegas. The 49ers are big favorites here for a reason, and its because their two quarterbacks significantly are better than the Raiders’ Peterman. My guess is that Lance wins the starting job, which is still crazy considering that Garoppolo almost gave this team a Super Bowl championship less than two years ago. Both quarterbacks have the potential to be elite- don’t forget, Garoppolo is still just 29 years old.

Final Raiders-49ers Prediction & Pick

Although the 49ers' quarterbacks are far superior here, I like the Raiders as the moneyline bet here for two reasons. Nathan Peterman is a far underrated quarterback and I believe and will put up excellent numbers again this week.

Additionally, getting a team at +200 odds in the preseason is incredible value and by no means is this an “easy 49ers win.” Yes, both 49ers quarterbacks have something to prove, but so does Peterman; Peterman is out to prove that he’s not done as an NFL quarterback and can still hold a meaningful role for this Raiders team. I do think Lance and Garoppolo will play well here, but it will be in a loss. The Raiders win in their return to Northern California.

FINAL PICK: Raiders MONEYLINE (+200)
