Incoming rookie Michael Porter Jr. expects to ‘dominate' in his Summer League debut on Friday.

Porter Jr. was the Nuggets' 14th overall pick in last year's draft. However, due to injury concerns, the team redshirted him for the entire season. This Friday will be the 21-year-old's Summer League Debut. And via Nick Kosmider of The Athletic, the 6-foot-10 forward shared his thoughts on finally playing. For him, nothing has changed. He just expects to dominate.

“I want to be the best player on the floor every time I step out there,” Porter said Monday as the Nuggets opened a mini training camp ahead of their trip to Las Vegas on Thursday. “That hasn’t changed. I don’t want to start slow. I’m expecting to dominate and that’s what I want to do.”

Nuggets fans will finally see their prized prospect in action after a year of waiting. And throughout the long wait, Porter Jr. has remained firm in his confidence and desire to win. People who have seen him work out in the gym and in drills have nothing but praises for his skills and athletic ability.

He'll be joining the Nuggets' squad that tallied an impressive 54-win season and made it to the Conference Finals. Though some are doubting whether or not Mike Malone will insert him into the rotation, the general consensus among analysts is that Porter Jr. will give the Nuggets great depth. He may even be that one missing piece that they need for a title push.
