While Nikola Jokic dropped a team-high 36 points on Wednesday night against the Portland Trail Blazers, it was Denver Nuggets guard Austin Rivers who ultimately made the difference in Game 3 after erupting for 16 points in the fourth quarter alone.

Well, his dad is kind of a big deal too. Doc Rivers, who is hoping to lead the Sixers to a deep playoff run, had a hilarious reaction to the news that his son went off for the Nuggets in Portland:

Kind of a humble brag from Doc. Austin Rivers had 21 points on the night, hitting numerous clutch threes down the stretch in the final period. It was truly a feel-good moment for the Nuggets guard though, especially after spending more than a month out of the league.

Denver picked up the former Duke standout in late April after he was waived by the OKC Thunder following a trade from the New York Knicks. Rivers spoke out post-game on this wild journey he's been on, via ESPN:

This game can bring you to the lowest feeling in the world. I swear, some nights you can feel so low,” Rivers said. “And then this game can make you feel so good about yourself, too. It's a beautiful game.”

Jokic and the Nuggets will definitely need more brilliant performances like this from Rivers if they're going to win this series. As for his dad, he'll definitely be keeping an eye on what his son is doing out West.
