Nikola Jokic constantly baffles fans. The Denver Nuggets center is always doing things he doesn't look like he'd be able to do.
One of the most common tricks done by Jokic are the superb passes. He went over the head for this one.
Props all around on this dime. Sure, you'd have liked to see Gary Harris finish at the rim there after such a perfect entry pass, but he recognized he didn't have a shot.
Harris kicked it out to Monte Morris who immediately swung it to Paul Millsap. Millsap finished it off by draining a three.
So, in the end, the beautiful pass ended in a made three-pointer.
For the most part, Jokic did what he always does with 22 points and 16 rebounds. He added three steals and a block.
The 7-footer did only pick up three assists, though. That's well below his season average of 7.7 per game. As shown by this play, however, that doesn't mean he wasn't moving the ball around.
This is a perfect example of a pretty play that won't end up in the box score for him. Jokic is the one that started the ball movement, but at the end of the day won't get credit for any stat on the play.
How many players (let alone big men) are making that pass? You could probably count them on your fingers. It's just another day at the office for Jokic.
With the win, the Nuggets moved to 41-18 on the season. That's the second-best record in the Western Conference. With his team winning coupled with beautiful plays like this, it's easy to see why Nikola Jokic is in the talks for MVP consideration.
