Veteran shooting guard Justin Holiday says he signed with the Indiana Pacers “because of the culture of the team.”

Holiday signed a one-year, $4.8 million deal with the Pacers. Justin will be playing with his youngster brother, Aaron Holiday, on the Pacers.

“It had nothing to do with finances at all,” Justin Holiday said, via David Woods of Indy Star. “I literally came here because of the culture of the team, coaching staff, the people in the front office. And my brother – that helps as well.

“This team wins every year. That’s something I want to do, is to be able to win. And also help the team get to the next level because I believe can do that.”

Justin Holiday played with the Chicago Bulls and Memphis Grizzlies last season. He averaged 10.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 82 games while shooting 38.6 percent from the field, 34.8 percent from beyond the arc and 89.6 percent from the free-throw line.

Justin, who was part of 2015 Golden State Warriors team which won the championship, has career averages of 8.1 points on 39.0 percent shooting from the floor and 34.9 percent from the 3-point line.

Indiana had a really productive offseason, acquiring Malcolm Brogdon from the Milwaukee Bucks and signing Jeremy Lamb in free agency. Justin Holiday, Brogdon and Lamb will provide scoring and shooting for the Pacers, something the team will need while Victor Oladipo is out.
