Indiana Pacers big man Domantas Sabonis baptized Philadelphia 76ers power forward Norvel Pelle in the two teams' New Year's Eve matchup, taking a dime from point guard TJ McConnell and turning it into a powerful slam over Pelle (via Pacers).

Sabonis, 23, is having a career year in 2019-20 after signing a four-year, $77 million contract extension in October. The Lithuanian-American power forward/center is averaging a career-best 17.4 points, 13.4 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game this season, shooting 50.4% from the field.

The Pacers are trying to head into the new year and new decade with a win over the Sixers. They can also expect two-time All-Star guard Victor Oladipo back from a ruptured tendon injury soon, too, with the timeline looking like the end of the January. For now, the Pacers will rely on multiple players to carry the burden as Indiana continues to play extremely well without its star.
