As rumors swirl regarding the future of Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, the Packers have to do whatever it takes to keep him playing at Lambeau Field next season.

The Green Bay Packers were just a few plays away from making the Super Bowl before losing to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Perhaps Rodgers was speaking out his frustration, but he said a lot of the guys have uncertain futures in Green Bay after the loss in the NFC title game on Sunday.

Maybe Rodgers was upset that Packers head coach Matt LaFleur didn't put the ball in his hands on fourth down with the game on the line, or maybe he was expressing some late frustration about the drafting of quarterback Jordan Love in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Either way, the Packers brass needs to do whatever it can to keep Rodgers happy so he doesn't seek a trade to play elsewhere.

The Packers had just lost their second straight NFC Championship game, so Rodgers has every right to be upset. They had a chance to score a touchdown and a potential game-tying two-point conversion, but LaFleur decided to kick a field goal and give the ball back to Tom Brady.

Even still, Rodgers hasn't lost a step and has proved to the front office that Love will have to wait for at least another season with the Packers after number 12 essentially locked up the NFL MVP honors.

He had 4,299 yards with 48 touchdowns and five interceptions in the regular season, and his play throughout the playoffs for the Packers didn't waver at all. While the selection of Love was questioned throughout, the reaction from Rodgers was not a good one, and perhaps that motivated him even more in 2020.

Still, something needs to be done to make Rodgers happy before he asks to be traded away from the Packers. They were so close to a Super Bowl trip, and the current roster could definitely use some improvements especially on the offensive side of the ball.

Aaron Jones is set to hit free agency and incumbent AJ Dillon would assumedly take over the lead role for the Packers, but Rodgers would love another wide receiver to throw to who doesn't have number 17 on his back.

While Davante Adams set record marks this season, the position has been an issue for years, and the front office of the Packers surprised everybody by taking Love and Dillon in the previous draft in positions they didn't really need to address, at least not immediately.

LaFleur has done a good job in his first two seasons with the Packers despite electing to kick a field goal and take the ball out of the hands of the potential MVP, a move that Rodgers said wasn't his decision.

The Packers are relevant, but without Rodgers throwing the football, they will drop off significantly. If the front office and brass upstairs want to remain competitive in 2021, they need to satisfy Rodgers's requests and do whatever he asks, or their chances at another Super Bowl will be taking a major hit, no matter how good Love turns out to be.
