The Green Bay Packers found a strong run game in Aaron Jones last season. In just 12 games he racked up 728 yards (5.5 yards per carry) and eight touchdowns.

However, injuries are slowing him down in training camp so far. Jones missed his second straight practice on Thursday with hamstring tightness.

Obviously any sort of injury is never a good thing. With that being said though, it's early enough that this shouldn't be a concern at all. Hamstring tightness isn't something that will carry over into the regular season. This seems more like a case of Jones not feeling 100% and Green Bay deciding it makes more sense to rest him than risk a real injury so early in camp.

Barring anything more serious, Jones will still be the starting running back come Week 1. This hamstring tightness isn't going to change anything on that front.

However, what it does do is give more reps to rookie running back Dexter Williams. If we're being honest, that probably works out for the best. Jones has already shown that he can be a great back for the Packers and very dangerous when he's on the field. He's also entering his third season with the team – he probably won't hurt his stock by missing a practice or two.

Meanwhile, Williams is still learning the ropes. He's figuring out the offense and how he fits into the scheme. Now he has a chance to work closer with the first team and show off his talents to the coaches – maybe finding a way to earn some extra reps for the rest of training camp or even the preseason. If all that goes well, maybe he finds a few in the regular season.

The bottom line is simple: Aaron Jones will be fine. Fans of the Green Bay Packers shouldn't be worried about some hamstring tightness.
