The Packers will be without one of their top receivers in Randall Cobb for an extended period of time. This is according to ESPN reporter Rob Demovsky, who tweeted that Cobb had potentially season-ending surgery.

The Packers are having a little bit of deja vu with this injury. Just last season, wide receiver Allen Lazard suffered a core injury that forced him to miss six games and undergo surgery.

Cobb appeared to have injured his groin in the Packers' Week 12 win over the Rams. He sustained the injury in the first half of the game and was unable to return. Now, it is clear that his game-ending injury was actually a core muscle injury. The Packers took advantage of their bye week, and Cobb got the surgery during the team's time off.

The Packers are expected to take home the win against the Bears Sunday night. However, the offense will have to readjust for the remainder of the season, and possibly the playoffs. Cobb has been the second most productive receiver, only behind the dominating Davante Adams. Cobb has recorded 28 receptions for 375 yards and five touchdowns.

Unfortunately for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense, Adams might also be out for Sunday's game. He is currently listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury that caused him to be limited in practice on Wednesday.
