Chicago Bears fans do not like Aaron Rodgers. In fact, some might hate the Green Bay Packers quarterback, especially after his recent actions and gestures to show that he “owns the Bears.” However, rivalry aside, the veteran QB thinks the team has a bright future with rookie signal-caller Justin Fields.

In his weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, Rodgers had nothing but high praises for the 22-year-old Bears newcomer. The Packers QB highlighted the “star qualities” that Fields possesses–characteristics that should make him a threat to the NFL sooner rather than later.

“I think he’s a really talented kid. He has a good arm on him. He can really move around and extend the plays and make plays outside the pocket. The most important thing for young players is to continue to work on the little things, the little details,” Rodgers said of Fields.

“He has a lot of star qualities in his presence and his ability.”

It's certainly a rare praise from Aaron Rodgers, especially for the star player of a team that doesn't really welcome him. However, it is not without merit.

Justin Fields played well in the Bears' recent showdown with the Packers, even though it ended in a loss for the Chicago franchise. While he had two interceptions in the contest, he maintained his composure and finished with two touchdowns.

The Bears have certainly seen solid growth from their QB, and as Rodgers said, Fields has shown what he is capable of.
