Aaron Rodgers seems to be rejuvenated heading into the 2019 NFL season with the Green Bay Packers. Even after the team missed the playoffs the last two seasons, the franchise seems to feel confident heading into this year with new head coach Matt LaFleur leading the way.

The Packers made the decision to fire former head coach Mike McCarthy in the middle of the 2018 season. It was obvious that a change was needed. Now, they have a coach that seems to be working very well with their star quarterback.

According to a report from Mike Silver of NFL Media, Rodgers may not be perfectly happy with LaFleur's offensive system. He wants to have more freedom at the line of scrimmage.

Rodgers may have a point. LaFleur is set to run a tight ship with his offense, but has made it clear that he wants to work as close as possible with his superstar quarterback. This could lead to Rodgers having a bit more freedom.

Last season with the Packers, Rodgers dealt with a major knee injury and was still able to put a big season together. He ended up completing 62.3 percent of his pass attempts for 4,442 yards, 25 touchdowns, and just two interceptions. Those numbers show that the criticism he received last year was completely unfair.

Green Bay will need Rodgers to have an even bigger year in 2019 if they want to get back into contention. LaFleur's offense has excited most of the offense and giving Rodgers a bit more freedom wouldn't be a bad thing.

Expect to see Rodgers and LaFleur get on the same page by the time the season starts. Things are finally looking up in Green Bay and small issues like this one are not going to get in the way of that.
