Bart Starr hasn’t done much in the way of public appearances as he’s gotten older, but the Green Bay Packers and NFL legend looks like he’ll be coming out to cheer on the Packers once again during one of their 2019 regular season games.

Starr’s son, Bart Starr Jr., recently attended the Packers Hall of Fame banquet and told guests that his father and mother would be hoping to attend the Packers week two matchup against the Minnesota Vikings (via 247 Sports), which is scheduled to take place on September 15, 2019 at 1 pm EST.

The last time Starr made his way back to Green Bay was in October 2017, when the Packers took on the New Orleans Saints. At the time, Starr’s wife, Cherry, announced that it would be the final time that the couple would be coming to Green Bay due to Bart's ongoing health concerns. Although Starr has had his fair share of health scares over the last couple of years, it seems as if that won’t be stopping him from getting back to the field that he helped make legendary, at least one last time.

Coming into the league out of Alabama as a quarterback, safety, and punter, Starr was drafted 200th overall by the Green Bay Packers in the 1956 NFL Draft, and despite losing his first (and only) playoff game in his rookie year, Starr quickly shot to stardom afterwards.

Throughout his career, he helped lead the Packers to five NFL Championships and two Super Bowls, was named to the Pro Bowl four times, and won the league's Most Valuable Player award in 1966. Needless to say, he’s one of the true legends in the sport of football, and a genuine icon to the Packers, so fans will certainly be giving him a huge ovation should he be able to attend the game.
