On Sunday, Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Hundley played his best game as a National Football League player. That's the good news for those who love cheese and football played in the cold. The bad? After the game, the Packers announced that the gunslinger hurt his hamstring during the game.

The severity of the injury isn't yet fully known, or if Brett Hundley will miss any time, but considering he played the entire game, there is little reason to think it be any sort of long-term issue.

For what it is worth, Hundley said after the game that the hamstring injury is a non-issue.

Hundley was efficient with 212 yards passing on 18-of-25 attempts and one touchdown without an interception for a 110.8 passer rating, as the Packers toppled the Chicago Bears.

“I thought Brett Hundley played his best game of the year,” Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. “Just handling the different situations, particularly the high pressure there in the fourth quarter.”

Teammates were also impressed. Green Bay center Corey Linsley discussed a miscommunication issue that happened during the game, and how the young signal-caller handled it.

“He was upset but he kind of took over and said, ‘Screw it, forget about what we got hurt on earlier, that was on me. Just do this, and I’ll make sure we’re right,’” Linsley said.

“I was like, ‘Good for him.' … So it was awesome for him to take that leadership step.”

With the hamstring apparently no big deal, and with a good game now under his belt, let's see how the rest of the Hundley era shakes out.
