The Green Bay Packers wide receivers are a group looking to improve on last season, and Davante Adams is making sure that the guys behind him are doing their best to play at their highest level in preseason. Which is why the veteran wideout is providing incentives for the young receivers in preseason games.

The incentives: $500 for each touchdown and $1,000 for 100-yard games.

And so far, the incentives seem to be working with the play of the wide receivers in their first preseason game. All four of the Packers' touchdowns were the result of a wide receiver. Three were on the receiving end of a touchdown pass and one from a recovery of a blocked punt (from Equanimeous St. Brown).

There wasn't any receiver with a 100-yard game. However, Darrius Shepherd, J'Mon Moore, and Allen Lazard are all going to be getting $500 each for their performances on Thursday night. It's unclear as to whether or not St. Brown will be getting $500 for his fumble recovery touchdown, but he will definitely be more motivated to have a bigger performance in the team's next preseason game.

It's unclear how the wide receiver depth chart will shake out with the players behind Davante Adams. However, the monetary incentives are something that will continue to increase the production and play of the receivers on the Packers with larger gains already on the horizon for them.

Adams has a great plan to keep the young guys motivated in the preseason, and also keeping the competition at receiver a little more interesting.
