As expected, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams won't be playing for the team when they face the undefeated Arizona Cardinals in Thursday Night Football.

According to reports, Adams will not travel with the Packers as they head to Glendale to play the Cardinals. It's not an unsurprising development, though, since the 28-year-old has been placed in the COVID-19 list.

Davante Adams tested positive for COVID-19, and give the length of isolation required, there was virtually zero chance for the star wideout to join the Packers in their trip to Arizona.

However, that doesn't lessen the impact of his absence to the team. After all, he is Aaron Rodgers' favorite target as they ride their six-game winning streak. Adams already has 52 receptions this season for 744 yards and three touchdowns. He's a constant threat for Green Bay, and without him, the offense looks more vulnerable and limited than ever.

While Rodgers himself is not worried about the absence of Adams, he did admit they are a different team without him.

“I don’t know. We’re not a better team without him, that’s for sure… We just found a way in each of those games,” Rodgers said when it was brought to him the Pacers are 6-0 in games without the wideout.

It remains to be seem how Rodgers and Co. will adapt to life without Adams, but if there is anyone who can find ways to win despite the limited options, it's probably the reigning NFL MVP.
