It's an end of an era for the Green Bay Packers. After eight years of playing for the green and gold, superstar wide receiver Davante Adams was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders, as per his request. This would mean that his legendary partnership with Aaron Rodgers has come to a close.

On Saturday night, Davante Adams posted a heartfelt message for the Packers faithful. In his Instagram post, Adams thanked the Packers organization, his teammates, and the fans for their incredible support. You can read his entire message below. (via Adams' Instagram)

Adams has been an integral part of the Packers' high-flying offense over the past few years. His uncanny ability to have an efficient release and run picture-perfect routes made him an ideal target for Rodgers. It will be hard for the Packers to replace his level of production, but they have a lot of options available for them, whether through the free-agent market or the draft.

The Packers handed Adams the franchise tag earlier in the offseason. However, it became clear that the stud wide receiver wanted to join the Raiders badly. He had been a fan of the team since they were based in Oakland, and his college quarterback Derek Carr also plays there. Now, he joins the battle for a competitive AFC West.

Rodgers and the Packers are at least glad that they don't have to face Adams that often. Still though, it's got to hurt to see one of your best players leave the team.
