When NFL teams participate in joint practices, things tend to get heated. The Green Bay Packers and Houston Texans held a joint practice on Monday and a fight broke out. It didn't surprise Davante Adams.

The explanation from Davante Adams is clear, precise, and fundamentally on-point. Every offseason, fights happen in training camp. Players are itching to hit somebody in a different jersey and when the Packers and Texans took the field, there was a chance for guys to do just that.

According to reports, Texans cornerback Lonnie Johnson laid a huge hit on Packer tight end Jace Sternberger and then proceeded to stand over him. There was some commotion and a brief scuffle between the teams after the play occurred.

Johnson, a rookie cornerback, put another hard hit on Packers receiver Trevor Davis. After that, Bill O'Brien sent Johnson to the locker room to end his day at practice. The Texans' head coach realized it was best to do so before things escalated even more.

The Texans drafted Johnson with the 54th pick in this year's draft. This was one of the first instances in which Johnson had to adjust to the speed of an NFL team.

Tempers flared between the teams. Fortunately, there were no injuries from the fight. After practice, Matt LaFleur and some of the Packers' players weren't pleased with how Johnson handled himself throughout the practice.

The Packers and Texans will hold their second joint practice on Tuesday, with both teams hoping to keep any extracurricular activity to a minimum.
