The Green Bay Packers have been without left tackle David Bakhtiari since midway through the 2020 season, as the All-Pro lineman has been recovering from a season-ending ACL injury. Green Bay has been cautious with Bakhtiari, though the latest update is a major step towards the star left tackle making his return in Week 18 against the Detroit Lions.

According to Zach Kruse of Packers Wire, Green Bay left tackle David Bakhtiari was a full participant at Friday's practice ahead of the Week 18 game vs. the Lions. Bakhtiari is still questionable but is firmly trending in the right direction after handling a full workload at practice.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur had hinted at a possible Bakhtiari return earlier this week, as he spoke about wanting to get the star offensive lineman some reps in the Lions game before the postseason.

The Packers, who are expected to play their starters some against the Lions, could opt to give Bakhtiari a few series on Sunday to help him knock the rust off following his knee injury.

It's unclear if David Bakhtiari will be on the field on Sunday against the Lions. However, even if he's not, the fact that Bakhtiari is nearing a return with the playoffs around the corner is huge news for the Packers.
